Throughout EIM’s history, the company’s emphasis on innovation has been reflected in numerous patents. Today, EIM remains a specialist in valve actuation and control … without involvement in unrelated fields, and without reliance upon parent or sister companies. The product line has grown to encompass electric and non-intrusive actuators for both quarter-turn and multi-turn applications, as well as full process-control capability.
EIM’s headquarters houses more than 120,000 square feet (11,148m2) of engineering, manufacturing, and testing operations. This extensive capacity enables the company to accommodate large orders—and to maintain one of the industry’s leading records for meeting shipping deadlines.
All critical-tolerance internal components are manufactured on-site to ensure precision. Primary pieces of manufacturing equipment at the plant are dedicated to the production of specific parts for greatest efficiency.
Throughout the production process, thorough quality assurance systems verify product integrity and compliance with ISO 9001 standards. Test labs at the factory subject EIM products to a rigorous battery of dynamic, electronic, and thermal tests.
EIM also maintains a 6,000 square foot (557m2) training facility adjacent to the factory that enables customers to receive hands-on training in actuator maintenance under the guidance of factory instructors. All this is accomplished within a privately held, independent company—a fact that has given EIM customers the advantage of having a consistent, reliable resource for more than half a century.
