21000 Series Elastomerlined Butterfly

Unique angle seating vane design minimizes liner shearing especially on non-lubricated dry gas service. The point of highest velocity (vena contracta) tends to be downstream of the liner surface, thereby reducing potential cavitation and erosion damage normally associated with conventional elastomer lined butterfly valves.
A combination of low hysteresis actuator, patented antibacklash linkage, reduced operating torque and “low gain” (0-20% travel) flow characteristic result in a rangeability of greater than 200:1!
Patented vane design divides the flow stream into a series of smaller jets, thereby substantially reducing noise levels
normally encountered with conventional butterfly valves utilized on gas and steam services. This unique feature also reduces pressure recovery on liquid throttling applications minimizing the potential for cavitation.
