Control Valves: Severe Service Valves

Design V150S Slurry Vee-Ball Control Valve

The Design V150S Slurry Vee-Ball valve shown in
figure 1 mates with Class 150 raised face flanges.
Rugged construction, highly wear-resistant trim
materials, and an unrestricted straight through flow
path make the design ideal for controlling the most
abrasive of slurries. More Info more info

How to avoid, fix problems with boiler feedwater valves

Combined-cycle powerplants offer a great
deal of operating flexibility, typically having the ability to respond to changing load demands much faster than large fossil-fired steam stations. So it is not surprising that in competitive power markets combinedcycle facilities are experiencing more operating cycles than owners planned for at the design stage. More Info more info

FISHER®-OPTIMIZED ANTISURGE VALVES MEET CRITICAL PERFORMANCE DEMANDS

In late 2004, an olefins production plant in Antwerp, Belgium had problems with two antisurge valves that were inappropriately sized for the critical, gas-compressor application.
The original specification required only a two second stroking speed, which the valves provided. Plant operators soon realized that much more was needed from the valves in terms of performance. Problems with the original surge valves caused environmental issues that kept the plant from operating and resulted in serious lost-time production costs. More Info more info

WhisperFlo 2122 Trim.

WhisperFlo trim outperforms the noise
control capabilities of conventional
multi-hole trims and tortuous path designs.
It does so by being the only noise abatement trim to utilize six, key noise control techniques. More Info more info

WhisperFlo Aerodynamic Noise Attenuation Trim

Fisher WhisperFlo trim represents state of the art
solutions for applications that demand ultimate noise attenuation.
Control valves with WhisperFlo cages provide additional attenuation for aerodynamic noise
in very demanding vapor or gas applications with
high-pressure drops.
A WhisperFlo cage with an appropriately sized valve body is designed to reduce the noise level up to %u201340 dBA.
For specialapplications, %u201350 dBA attenuation can be achieved. More Info more info

Whisper TrimI Cage

The Whisper Trim® I cage offers proven aerodynamic noise control that is effective for vapor, gas, or steam flow applications. More Info more info

Whisper TrimIII Cages

Whisper Trim III cages provide effective attenuation of aerodynamic noise in vapor, gas, or steam applications involving high pressure drops or high pressure drop ratios. Using a Whisper Trim III cage in conjunction with a properly-sized valve body can substantially reduce the noise level of the control application. More Info more info

Dirty Service Anti-Cavitation

Dirty Service Trim (DST) is a patented multi-stage, anti-cavitation control valve trim concept for use in services where the fluid may have entrained particulate that could plug the passages in or cause erosion damage to conventional anti-cavitation trims. More Info more info

Micro Trims for Globe and Angle Valve

Fisher micro trims are used in those applications where the control of low flow rates is a requirement. More Info more info

Cavitrol III One-, Two-, and Three-Stage Trims

Cavitrol® III trims are used for cavitating liquid applications in various globe and angle valve bodies More Info more info
