The ROC809 Remote Operations Controller is microprocessor-based controller that provides the functions required for a variety of field automation applications. The ROC809 is used primarily where there is a need to monitor, measure, and control equipment in a remote environment. The ROC809 controller is ideal for any applications requiring flow computation; Proportional, integral, and Derivative (PID) control loops; and logic sequencing control on up to 12 meter runs. devices that provide the functions required for a 
variety of field automation applications. The 
ROC809 has a backplane to which the Central 
Processing Unit (CPU), Power Input Module, 
Input/Output (I/O) modules, and communication

Analog Input (AI) and Analog Output (AO) modules 
for the ROC800-Series Remote Operations 
Controller provide the ROC with the ability to

DI and PI Modules (ROC800-Series)

Discrete Input (DI) and Pulse Input (PI) modules for 
the ROC800-Series Remote Operations Controller 
provide the ROC with the ability to monitor various 
discrete and pulse input field values. The maximum 
number of modules that a ROC809 can support is

(DOR) modules for the ROC800-Series Remote 
Operations Controller provide the ROC with the ability 
to control various discrete output field devices. The

HART Communication Module (ROC800-Series)

The HART Communication module allows a 
ROC800-Series Remote Operations Controller to 
communicate with HART devices using the Highway 
Addressable Remote Transducer (HART) protocol. 
The HART module can receive signals from and 
transmit signals to HART transmitters. More Info more info

GAS CHROMATOGRAPH USER PROGRAM

This program allows a ROC809 Remote Operations Controller to communicate with a Gas 
Chromatograph through an EIA-232 (RS-232) or EIA-485 (RS-485) communications port. The user 
program will allow communications with a Daniel 2251, 2255, 2350, 2350A or 2360 Gas 
Chromatograph or with a ABB Totalflow Model 8000 BTU Gas Chromatograph. The ROC809 unit will 
be the Master using the Modbus Master protocol. More Info more info

Communication Modules (ROC800-Series)

Communication modules add communication ports 
to a ROC800-Series Remote Operations 
Controllers. The Central Processor Unit (CPU) of a 
ROC800-Series provides three built-in 
communication ports. Refer to Specifications Sheet 
6:ROC809. A maximum of three communication 
modules can be added, resulting in a maximum of

The ROC800-Series Operating System Firmware 
provides the functionality for the ROC800-Series

V-CONE METERING USER PROGRAM

This program allows a ROC809 Remote Operations Controller to calculate a corrected volumeteric flow  
rate at a specified base pressure and temperature for a McCrometer V-Cone flowmeter.  
The V-Cone calculation is very similar to an orifice plate calculation, uses many of the same configuration  
parameters, and produces many of the same calculated values. More Info more info

Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) and 
Thermocouple (T/C) Input modules for the ROC800- 
Series Remote Operations Controller provide the 
ROC with the ability to monitor various RTD or 
thermocouple sensors. The maximum number of

Analog Input Loop and Differential Modules

The Analog Input Loop and Analog Input Differential 
modules plug into a ROC300-Series Remote 
Operations Controller or FloBossTM 407 Flow Manager 
and are used for monitoring current loop and voltage 
output devices. Each module can accommodate one 
analog input, and each uses a scaling resistor for
