Service
Pacific Controls started the Service Division in 1989 when we moved from Spring Hill to Bulimba. We started out with 1 Service Technician who focused on the overhaul and calibration of Fisher Control Valves and later moved into the area of Relief Valve test, overhaul and certification.
As our workload increased we expanded the staff to include additional Technicians who focused on Control and Relief Valves. Between 1989 and 2001 we undertook several plant shutdowns for companies such as Caltex, BP and Incitec using in-house and contracted, experienced Technicians.
With the development of Santos Ballera, Chevron PNG and several other major natural gas production and pipeline projects, we undertook to expand into complete design and fabrication of solar powered telemetry, pressure reduction and flow metering systems. These systems require fabrication and staging of solar systems, pneumatic and instrument panels and the fabrication and assembly of complete skids. These projects were undertaken by the Service Division and continues as a thriving component of our overall business today.
The move to Tingalpa resulted in another period of growth in the Service Division with major shutdowns undertaken for companies such as Caltex, BP, Incitec and Queensland Nitrates, plus a steady growth in general Control and Relief valve overhaul and certification activities.
We currently have 8 full time Service Technicians, Service Manager and Service Admin Clerk. Our workshops in Brisbane and Gladstone are fully equipped with machine tools, cleaning, painting and welding bays and several Control and Relief Valve test stands.
